How we helped Northpeak Outdoor grow

Northpeak Outdoor has sold technical hiking and camping gear for more than twenty years. Their customers are passionate and well-informed — but the online store was not keeping up with them.

We rebuilt the store as a fast, headless storefront with product pages designed around the questions shoppers actually ask: fit, weight, weather rating and how a product compares with alternatives. Merchandisers can now launch collections and campaigns without developer support.

The challenge
Northpeak's legacy store was slow, hard to update and losing mobile shoppers at checkout. Organic traffic had flattened, and every merchandising change needed a developer.
Our strategy
We mapped the full purchase journey, identified the pages with the highest drop-off and prioritised product pages, collection navigation and checkout. SEO migration planning started on day one to protect existing rankings.
The solution
A headless storefront with rich, fast product pages, guided gear finders, simplified checkout and a CMS the merchandising team runs on its own. Every URL was mapped and redirected, with structured data added across the catalogue.
